Viola Davis Steps Out for TGIT After Controversial 'NYT' Article

Viola Davis is pretty in hot pink while attending the TGIT Premiere Event Celebrating Shonda Rhimes held at Palihouse on Saturday night (September 20) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 49-year-old actress was joined by her How to Get Away with Murder co-stars Charlie Weber, Karla Souza, Matt McGorry, Tom Verica, Jack Falahee, Billy Brown, Alfred Enoch, Katie Findlay, and Aja Naomi King.

Also in attendance were Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, who were seen mingling with Kerry Washington.

This is Viola‘s first public appearance since responding to the controversial New York Times’ article that referred to her as “less classically beautiful.’”

FYI: Viola is wearing a Trina Turk dress.
