British Hottie Adam Peaty Breaks World Record in First Rio Olympics Event

Adam Peaty checks out the big screen after setting a world record in the Men’s 100m Breaststroke during day one of the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics on Saturday (August 6) at the Olympic Aquatics Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The 21-year-old swimmer did the 100m breaststroke in 57.55 seconds, breaking a world record that he set last year by 0.37 seconds. After the race ended and he saw his time, he looked as if he expected the result!

Adam will compete next in the semi-finals and if he wins the gold medal in the finals, he will become the first British swimmer to bring home gold since 1988.
