Cardi B Doesn't Think Women in Hip-Hop Are Represented by #MeToo Movement

Cardi B is speaking out about the #MeToo movement and how she feels there is a double standard as women in the hip-hop industry are being overlooked.

The 25-year-old rapper says that video models are not being seen and heard like other women in the entertainment industry.

“A lot of video vixens have spoke about this and nobody gives a f–k,” Cardi said in a new interview with Cosmopolitan. “When I was trying to be a vixen, people were like, ‘You want to be on the cover of this magazine?’ Then they pull their dicks out. I bet if one of these women stands up and talks about it, people are going to say, ‘So what? You’re a ho. It don’t matter.’”

Cardi was also asked about the men who are supporting #MeToo and she said, “These producers and directors, they’re not woke, they’re scared.”

Cardi also opened up about working as a stripper before breaking into the music world.

“People say, ‘Why do you always got to say that you used to be a stripper? We get it,’” she said. “Because y’all don’t respect me because of it, and y’all going to respect these strippers from now on.”
