Amandla Stenberg Honored at Equality Now Gala With Changemaker Award

Amandla Stenberg gets a big hug from Tracee Ellis Ross while arriving at Equality Now’s Make Equality Reality Gala 2018 held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Monday night (December 3) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The Hate U Give actor was honored with the inaugural Changemaker Award at the event, which celebrates the next generation of activists who are championing gender equality and inspiring positive change through self-expression and active citizenship.

The event honored also author Margaret Atwood as a longtime icon and champion of women’s rights.

Sisters Vanessa and Laura Marano, Kerris Dorsey and Odeya Rush were also seen inside the event.
