Kevin Hart Reveals the Jokes He Would Have Told at Oscars 2019

Kevin Hart stops by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert for an appearance on Wednesday night (January 9) in New York City.

The 39-year-old actor spoke about some of the jokes that he would have told if he was still hosting the 2019 Oscars.

“I was going to be good. I had some stuff. I had some heat,” he said. “You know, people go to the Oscars, but they’re not there to laugh because everybody is waiting for their moment. Everybody is uptight.”

Kevin explained was gonna show some of the funny memes from past Oscars including Nicole Kidman‘s hand clap, Meryl Streep shouting at the stage and more.

“This almost ended Nicole,” Kevin continued. “See this right here? They caught her in a bad clap. It was the middle of a clap, and they saw that she had boomerangs for hands. You don’t want to do that. So, you gotta relax. That wouldn’t have happened if it were a relaxed moment.”

“The whole intent behind them would be you don’t want to be that,” he said. “So, relax, loosen up and have a good time.”
