Michelle Rodriguez Apologizes for Her Liam Neeson Comments

Michelle Rodriguez arrives for the 2019 EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday (February 10) at Royal Albert Hall in London, England.

Earlier in the week, Michelle was embroiled in controversy when she defended Liam Neeson. Michelle co-starred with Liam in Widows, and defended him by saying he’s not a racist after his big controversy.

Michelle issued a response to her controversial comments, writing, “To my friends and colleagues and my fans and community: I want to deeply apologize for my recent choice of words, and poor use of example. In a pressure-filled situation, I defended a friend in the wrong way. I now realize how insensitive it was, and I had no intention of invoking such a terrible historical comparison. I have learned from this, and will grow from it.”
