Mahershala Ali Wins Best Supporting Actor at Oscars 2019!

Congratulations are in order for Mahershala Ali, who just won the award for Best Supporting Actor at the 2019 Academy Awards on Sunday (February 24) at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

The 45-year-old actor won the award for his work in the movie Green Book, beating out BlacKkKlansman‘s Adam Driver, A Star Is Born‘s Sam Elliott, Can You Ever Forgive Me?‘s Richard E. Grant, and Vice‘s Sam Rockwell.

This is the second Oscar for Mahershala, who won an award in the same category two years ago for his work in the movie Moonlight. This time his wife Amatus-Sami Karim was there with him. She had given birth days before the 2017 and couldn’t attend with her hubby.

Green Book is nominated for five awards at the Oscars, including Best Picture.
