'Dancing with the Stars' 2019 Could See 'Format Tweaks' This Season

ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke is teasing that there could be some “format tweaks” made to Dancing with the Stars for the upcoming 28th season.

“It’s about [shifting] the focus of the show to really focus on it being a celebration of dance, and also focusing on the celebrities,” Karey told TV Line.

DWTS took a cycle off this past Spring after a very controversial season which saw dark horse Bobby Bones winning the whole thing.

Karey said that by “leaning into its strengths,” it will once again be “the most entertaining dance show on television.”

We don’t know the cast just yet, but it will apparently be “really good.”

Dancing with the Stars premieres on September 16 on ABC.
