Jared Padalecki to Star in 'Walker, Texas Ranger' Reboot!

Jared Padalecki is in talks to star in, and executive produce, a reboot of CBS’ former hit show Walker, Texas Ranger!

The 37-year-old Supernatural star’s new show is being shopped around with networks like The CW and CBS showing interest.

According to Deadline, the series will follow “Cordell Walker (Padalecki), a man finding his way back to his family while investigating crime in the state’s most elite unit. Our broken widower and father of two returns home to Austin after being undercover for two years for a high profile case – only to discover that there’s even more work to be done at home.”

Jared‘s current show Supernatural is heading into its final season on The CW. Jared and his co-stars got emotional promoting the show recently!

The original Walker, Texas Ranger aired from 1993 to 2001, and starred Chuck Norris.
