'Terminator: Dark Fate' Premiere Cancelled Amid California Wildfires

Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s Terminator: Dark Fate premiere has been cancelled due to the ongoing Getty Fires, which broke out hours ago in the area connecting West Los Angeles to the San Fernando Valley. 10,000 homes have been evacuated in the Brentwood and Westwood areas.

Arnold had to evacuate his home, explaining, “We evacuated safely at 3:30 this morning. If you are in an evacuation zone, don’t screw around. Get out. Right now I am grateful for the best firefighters in the world, the true action heroes who charge into the danger to protect their fellow Californians. #GettyFire.”

Paramount Pictures was intending to hold the premiere and after party on Monday (October 28) in Hollywood, but instead will be donating all the food intended to be served to the American Red Cross, Deadline reports.

The new Terminator film is set to his theaters this Friday. Here’s a synopsis of the film: More than two decades have passed since Sarah Connor prevented Judgment Day, changed the future, and re-wrote the fate of the human race. Dani Ramos (Natalia Reyes) is living a simple life in Mexico City with her brother (Diego Boneta) and father when a highly advanced and deadly new Terminator – a Rev-9 (Gabriel Luna) – travels back through time to hunt and kill her. Dani’s survival depends on her joining forces with two warriors: Grace (Mackenzie Davis), an enhanced super-soldier from the future, and a battle-hardened Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton). As the Rev-9 ruthlessly destroys everything and everyone in its path on the hunt for Dani, the three are led to a T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger) from Sarah’s past that may be their last best hope.
