Gerard Butler Lights the Olympic Torch During Event in Sparta!

This is Sparta and this is Gerard Butler carrying the Olympic Torch!

The 50-year-old actor, who made “This is Sparta” an iconic line in the movie 300, traveled to the city in Greece to participate in the Olympic Torch Relay on Friday (March 13).

Gerard joined Titanic actor Billy Zane and the City of Sparta’s ambassador Roy Danalis Apostolopoulos in lighting the torch.

The relay began in Sparta and it will travel to Athens on March 19 and then the torch will make a global journey to Japan, where it will end with the launch of the Olympics in July.
