Jessie James Decker Defends Throwing Her Son a Birthday Party During the Pandemic

Jessie James Decker is defending herself after facing backlash from fans this week.

If you didn’t see, the 32-year-old country singer and mom of three, hosted a birthday party for her son, Eric Jr, for his 5th birthday.

The party seemed to host more people than recommended during the coronavirus pandemic in an image Jessie shared on Instagram and fans definitely noticed that.

After receiving the backlash, Jessie is defending herself and the decision to throw the party.

“I understand your concern,” Jessie replied to a fan who questioned if there was a pandemic where they were located, with a note of sarcasm.

She continued, “We’ve been very careful. This small group of children celebrating Bubby are already in the same class at school so we are around each other all the time already. ❤️❤️❤️.”

The party was Pokémon themed and included at least five other children alongside Jessie and husband Eric Decker, Eric Jr, and their other two children, Forrest and Vivianne.

Another celebrity was judged by fans for throwing a big birthday party during the pandemic. As a result, they tested positive for coronavirus.
