Jonathan Scott Claps Back at Engagement Rumors With Zooey Deschanel

There have been a lot of rumors going around that Jonathan Scott and Zooey Deschanel are actually taking the next step in their relationship and have gotten engaged, but is it the truth?

The 42-year-old HGTV star clapped back at the rumors that are swirling and confirming they are not true.

“I’m pretty confident that I will ask my girlfriend to marry me before I tell a reporter,” Jonathan said in a new interview on SiriusXM.

He added that the engagement part isn’t even the funniest part of the rumor.

“We were actually laughing because almost every story that comes out is ‘Drew Gives Permission for Jonathan to Wed Zooey’ or ‘Drew Gives His Nod to the Relationship.’ And so we coined the phrase, we were laughing, we’re like, so is Drew my ‘Brother-Daddy?’ Does he have to approve everything that happens in my life?” Jonathan says.

Jonathan and his twin brother, Drew, have taken over HGTV for numerous years and are currently hosting the fourth season of Property Brothers: Forever Home, which is the 9th spinoff of the original series.

Just a few months ago, Jonathan did open up about his relationship with Zooey, and revealed it was love at first sight.
