Idina Menzel & Chaka Khan Team Up For New Version of 'I'm Every Woman' For International Women's Day

Idina Menzel and Chaka Khan put a new twist on “I’m Every Woman” to celebrate 2021 International Women’s Day.

The two iconic singers teamed up with humanitarian organization CARE for their new campaign for the annual day, which celebrates the strength, resilience and leadership of women around the world throughout the month of March.

“I am honored to lend my voice to celebrate and inspire women on this International Women’s Day,” Chaka shared in a statement about the bold version of her 1978 song.

She adds, “I hope our rendition of ‘I’m Every Woman’ sheds light on the incredible strength of empowered women — women who are changing the world by leading their communities. We especially pay tribute to the female heroes who have been at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19 this past year.”

“I am so thrilled to be a part of this hopeful celebration of strength for International Women’s Day,” Idina added in her own statement. “Our version of ‘I’m Every Woman’ is a beautiful recognition of the power in every woman, especially the heroes on the frontlines who have been working tirelessly this past year to keep us safe and healthy.”

CARE’s campaign will include a weekly #IMEVERYWOMAN Virtual Conversation Series, with a speaker lineup that starts THIS Wednesday at 3/2c.

Late last year, Idina wrapped up production on Sony’s upcoming Cinderella movie. Check out the photo!
