Daniel Craig's Massive Payday for 'Knives Out' Sequel Revealed - One of the Biggest Ever!

It was announced last week that Daniel Craig will be reprising his role as Benoit Blanc in two upcoming sequels to Knives Out and now his massive payday has been revealed.

The upcoming movies will stream exclusively on Netflix after the company paid a huge amount money to secure the rights to the sequels.

When the news was announced, it was rumored that Netflix paid over $400 million to buy the two movies, but now THR has revealed the number is actually $469 million.

The new report also gave a breakdown of how that money will be spent, including paydays for Daniel, writer and director Rian Johnson, and producer Ram Bergman.

Daniel is going to be making upward of $100 million for the next two movies combined, according to the new report in The Hollywood Reporter.

The outlet also says that Rian and Ram, his producing partner, will each make $100 million for the next two movies.

Netflix’s deal for the upcoming movies states that each sequel must have at least the budget of the original 2019 movie, which was made for around $40 million. Rian also will have full creative control over the movies.

“Yes, it’s overpaying, but Netflix is playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers,” an insider said about the deal. “It takes a proven theatrical commodity off the board and puts it in their pocket. And it’s another way they re-educate audiences to think of streaming and their company above a studio.”
