However, it wasn’t meant to be.

Speaking with People, Rachael shared that there was a plan to have Freddie‘s Zack Siler return for the movie, but ultimately, Freddie passed on it.

“He is doing really well. We both discussed if he was going to do this one or not,” she shared. “It ended up not being a good fit for him, but he and the creative team are behind it are totally cool.”

Rachael added that “his part was a little bit up in the air.”

“He said, ‘It’s not going to work out for me, but I totally obviously support you doing whatever you want with this,’” she continued. “‘Go run with it — I’ll support this movie all the way and everyone involved.’ ”

He’s All That reimagines the original plot of the 1999 teen classic She’s All That. The contemporary story follows an influencer who accepts a challenge to turn the school’s biggest loser into prom king.

The movie is expected to premiere in August on Netflix.
