Emma Stone Reveals the Next Disney Villain Origin Story She Wants Made Into a Movie

Emma Stone is pitching a new Disney movie!

While promoting her Cruella de Vil origin movie Cruella, the 32-year-old Oscar-winning actress revealed the next Disney villain origin story she wants turned into a movie.

While talking to Variety, Emma said that she wants to see The Little Mermaid villain Ursula get her own feature movie.

“She’s an octopus and the world you would get to live in, like Ursula’s parents and what happened there,” Emma explained. “You’ve never really seen a non-human Disney villain be explored in that way.”

Emma‘s Cruella co-star Kirby Howell-Baptiste also agreed that Ursula needs her own background movie.

“I gotta know how Ursula came to be,” Kirby said. “Like, why is she so damn mean? But also I know that she’s misunderstood.”

So far, Disney has given Cruella and Sleeping Beauty villain Maleficent, played by Angelina Jolie, their own origin movies.
