Liam Payne Details Recent 'Lovely' Phone Call with Harry Styles

During an Instagram Live on Wednesday (June 2), Liam, 27, was asked by a fan if he still talks to Harry, also 27, and Liam revealed that they recently chatted on the phone.

“Yeah, I did speak to Harry, and it was really lovely,” Liam revealed. “He called me because he has a sixth sense for if I’m struggling or if one of us is in trouble I feel like.”

Liam continued, “I spoke to him and it was a really lovely catch-up actually. And I’ve got a lot of love for the man. He’s great, he’s really, really great.”

Liam, Harry, and the rest of the One Direction guys all went their separate ways to pursue solo careers back in 2016, and Liam admitted that it’s “hard” that they’re not as close as they used to be.

“It’s hard in this position sometimes, you’re watching people’s stories from afar that you used to know so well,” Liam said in the Live. “That can be difficult when you feel like a piece of you is missing with them at that point I guess. And I think we’ve all felt this at different times, me and the boys.”

Later in the Live, Liam shared his thoughts on a possible 1D reunion.

“I’d love for us to get in a room at some point. I think it would be the best thing,” Liam said. “We’ve all said it outside but we’ve just not said it to each other. There’s a song in there somewhere…Somebody write that down!”
