Jodie Turner-Smith Voices More Support For Meghan Markle; Says Royal Family Could've 'Protected Her' More

Jodie Turner Smith is voicing more support for Meghan Markle in a brand new interview.

The 34-year-old actress appeared on Good Morning Britain in support of her new Channel 5 series, Anne Boleyn, and opened up about the Duchess of Sussex and the circumstances in which she, and husband Prince Harry, stepped away as senior royals in the monarchy.

Via The Daily Mail, Jodie shared that she thought more members of the Royal Family could’ve been there for Meghan in her times of need, given the recent headlines about her mental health.

“There’s a lot of resistance to new things that can push that institution forward in a way that more represents the world today,” Jodie shared on the program. “I think they could have looked at this marriage and that relationship as a way to evolve and could have embraced it and embraced her fully, and protected her, and protected their son in a way that made him feel like he didn’t need to leave.”

This isn’t the first time Jodie has spoken out about Meghan.

Just a month ago, she shared her thoughts about how Meghan might’ve provided the monarchy with an opportunity to embrace the modern times.
