Beyonce's Mom Tina Knowles Addresses Rumors About Her Daughter's Mental Health

Jay-Z was seen rubbing his wife’s leg as they sat on the sidelines and as photos of the sweet moment circulated online, some speculated that the move is meant to help with Beyonce‘s social anxiety at public events.

Tina Knowles took to Instagram on Monday (June 7) to address the rumors, captioning a collage of photos of the couple, “When you love someone and like them you just want to touch them!”

“Me and Richard [Lawson, her husband] are always touching even if it’s just our feet! Yeah!! That’s what you do!” she continued. “For those of you who don’t understand, try it sometimes it works!! Human touch is how you stay connected!! ❤️ So comical people saying she has anxiety in public and that’s why he touches her! Lord people!!!! Y’all it’s not!!! Stop that!!!!! ❤️”

“BTW if someone has anxiety then it is great for their partner to touch them to calm and reassure them. That’s a beautiful thing. It just happens to not be the case here,” Tina added.

This isn’t the first time Tina has taken to social media to set the record straight… A few months ago she made a sweet correction to her daughter’s 2021 Grammy’s speech.
