Ned Beatty, Toy Story's Lotso, Passes Away at Age 83

Ned Beatty has sadly died at the age of 83.

TMZ is reporting that the character actor died in his sleep, according to his family, on Sunday (June 13).

There are no other details about his death, however, it was not COVID-19 related.

Ned is best known for his roles in 1978′s Superman, Network, Deliverance, and more recently, as Toy Story 3‘s evil bear, Lotso, the stuffed toy, who rules the toys from inside a day care cetner.

He also had a slew of television credits, appearing on Law & Order, Roseanne, Highway to Heaven, The Rockford Files, M*A*S*H*, and many other programs.

Ned is survived by his wife, Sandra Johnson, and his eight children and grandchildren.
