Netflix Cancels 'Dad Stop Embarrassing Me,' Jamie Foxx Reportedly Involved in Decision

Netflix has canceled the comedy series Dad Stop Embarrassing Me! after just one season and the show’s star Jamie Foxx was reportedly involved in the decision to end the series.

The show was co-created by Foxx and was inspired by his relationship with his daughter Corinne Foxx. The eight-episode first season debuted on April 14 and was seemingly a hit for the streamer as it reached #1 on the overall chart.

Deadline reportedly that Jamie was “involved in the decision to end the series,” but no other details were given about the reason why the show is being canceled.

Here’s the synopsis of the show: Brian Dixon (Foxx), successful business owner and bachelor, just became a full-time father to his teenage daughter Sasha (Kyla-Drew). Determined to be the best father he can be, Brian’s going to need all the help he can get from his dad (David Alan Grier) and sister (Porscha Coleman) — and Sasha’s going to need all the help she can get learning how to deal with her new, lovingly chaotic.
