TikTok Star Bella Poarch Opens Up About Abusive Upbringing
Bella Poarch is opening up more than ever about her past.
The 24-year-old TikTok star and “Build a Bitch” sensation made a visit on the H3 podcast.
During her time on the show, she opened up about her past, including her experience with abuse while growing up in the Philippines and its affect on her mental health.

“It was very hard. I had to wake up at like 4 am every morning…I had to finish all the chores. I would be sweeping the yard, picking up dog s–t…I would have to clean up real good because if I didn’t, my stepdad would get mad at me and be like ‘you’re not eating breakfast if you don’t get this done,’” she explained, adding that she didn’t realize it was abuse, and she would get slapped if he ever got angry.
She said her stepmom wasn’t really abusive, “but she could have said something.”
“My nickname was ‘stupid bitch’ growing up. It’s hard because in the Philippines, whatever happens in your neighbor’s house, you have to mind your own business. It’s none of your business,” she continued, adding that she tried to ask for help.
“I realized no one gives a s–t. I went to school one time with a swollen right hand and it was bleeding…it was really bad. And my teacher was asking why am I so slow at writing that day….she was just like hurry the f–k up, nobody gives a s–t,” she continued to reveal, saying her dad recently disclosed he has PTSD from being in the military.
“I have PTSD. But I don’t go around and hurt people, and take advantage,” she said of the effects her upbringing had on her mental health.
Bella also revealed that her family has attempted to reconnect, but have not taken full accountability.
“It’s very hard for them to accept what happened in the past. Like they can’t accept it. The way they apologize was like ‘I’m sorry that you feel that way.’ And that made me feel so angry,” she said.
