Travis Barker Says He 'Might Fly Again' 13 Years After Surviving Deadly Plane Crash

Travis Barker is considering a return to the skies.

In case you didn’t know, over a decade ago the 45-year-old rock star was involved in a deadly plane crash that killed four of six passengers on board.

The crash claimed the lives of assistant Chris Baker, security guard Charles Still and the two pilots.

In an interview with Men’s Health a few months ago, Travis shared that while he’s still “haunted” by the crash, over time it’s gotten easier for him to deal with memories of the accident.

He also added that it’s still a goal for him to get back on a plane.

“If I do it, and the angels above help me in my travels and keep me safe, I would like to come back and [tell my children], ‘Hey, I just flew here, and then I flew home. And everything was fine.’ I have to tell them, because I almost left them,” Travis told the outlet. “That’s a perfect day.”

It seems like the blink-182 drummer may be getting closer to his goal based on a tweet he shared on Friday (March 25).

“I might fly again,” Travis wrote, adding an airplane emoji.

Fans shared their support for the drummer in the responses to his tweet, voicing their encouragement.

“I was in a plane crash as a child. It took me a few years to fly again. I fly all the time now, but every once and awhile the fear creeps back in. Breathing helps,” one social media user wrote.

Travis was recently spotted out and about with his girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian and you can check out the pics here.
