Colton Underwood wants people to stop associating him with The Bachelor.

The 29-year-old former football player and reality star, who recently came out as gay, spoke out in response to an article about Bachelor Nation stars receiving PPP loans.

It was discovered that several members of the franchise received thousands of dollars from the government as part of the Paycheck Protection Program. The PPP loans were intended for small businesses so that they could keep their workers employed during the pandemic. Several celebrities who received loans for their businesses have been criticized in the past and now people are taking aim at the stars of The Bachelor.

“Let me save you the click bait headline,” Colton wrote on Instagram Stories before explaining his use of the PPP loan.

“My non profit filed for a PPP because we cancelled our charity events for the year,” Colton said. “We help people live with CF. I don’t make a dime from my non profit.”

Colton then requested the media stops associating him with other members of The Bachelor franchise. He said, “Please stop lumping me in with The Bachelor. I don’t f–k with them anymore, they don’t f–k with me. Point blank.”

Colton recently addressed inappropriate questions about his sex life.
