Disney Has Quietly Renamed Boba Fett's Ship in New Merchandise Reveal

Disney is making some changes.

According to THR, the company has dropped the name “Slave 1″ from a Lego model of Boba Fett’s classic ship.

The outlet writes that that the ship is now called “Boba Fett’s starship.”

The change was first reported by Stars Wars fansite Jedi News, who interviewed Lego Star Wars design director Jens Kronvold Frederiksen.

Jens claimed that Disney had asked the name be changed and that they were allegedly intentionally phasing out the “Slave 1″ title.

When asked why he dropped the name, the designer replied, “Everybody is. It’s probably not something which has been announced publicly but it is just something that Disney doesn’t want to use any more.”

Earlier this year, Gina Carano was fired from The Mandalorian after a controversial social media post where she compared being a conservative in modern America to being Jewish in Nazi Germany.
