HBO Max Casts Lily Rabe in Candy Montgomery Limited Series 'Love And Death'

Lily Rabe has been tapped to star as Betty Gore in HBO Max’s limited series Love and Death.

The 39-year-old American Horror Story actress will star opposite Elizabeth Olsen, Patrick Fugit, and Jesse Plemons in the upcoming show, Deadline reports.

Love and Death centers on two church-going couples, enjoying small-town family life in Texas (at least they do until somebody picks up an axe).

It’s based on the true story of Texas housewife Candy Montgomery, who murdered her friend from church, Betty Gore, with an axe in 1980.

Jesse will play Betty’s husband, Allan, Elizabeth will star as Candy and Patrick is Pat Montgomery.

The series was written by David E. Kelley and will be directed by Lesli Linka Glatter.

Lily will next be seen in the 10th season of American Horror Story and just wrapped The Tender Bar, from director George Clooney.
