Marion Cotillard Says Adam Driver Made Movie Musical History in the Craziest Way with His 'Annette' Performance

Marion Cotillard and Adam Driver are stepping out in style for the 2021 Cannes Film Festival!

The two stars arrived at the photo call for their film, Annette, on Tuesday (July 6) in Cannes, France.

Marion looked super chic in a patterned black and white top, black shorts and matching boots, while Adam opted for a black suit jacket over a blue button down.

Also at the photo call were brothers Ron and Russell Mael of the band Sparks, who composed the music for the film, and Simon Helberg.

In the Official Cannes Press Kit interviews, Marion teased that Adam is making movie musical history by being the first musical performer to sing an original song while performing oral sex!

“On most classic musicals, you record your songs in advance and then you do playback on the set. But there, Leos wanted everything to be completely live,” she explained, per Insider.

“It added to the complexity of the set: we found ourselves singing in very complicated positions, doing back-crawling or mimicking cunnilingus; acrobatic positions that technically modify your song [the way you sing],” Marion continued.

Annette is set to debut in theaters and on Amazon Prime Video in late summer 2021. You can watch a trailer for the film here!
