'Rebel' Might Be Saved, Could Get Season 2 at IMDb TV

There’s a chance the cancelled ABC show Rebel might be saved!

The show, which starred Katey Sagal in the title role, was canceled after just five episodes back in May 2021 and many people expected it to receive a second season.

Amazon-backed IMDb TV has landed the streaming rights to season one of the show, THR reports. If the streams of season one perform well, the show could get greenlit for a season two at the streamer!

A couple of months ago, ABC boss Craig Erwich is opening up about why Rebel ended up on the chopping block and not in the renewal pile.

“One of the advantages of a stable schedule is, you can focus and platform new shows, which Rebel was a beneficiary of Unfortunately, it did not garner the audience that we needed it to do, so we had make that decision,” Craig said. Read all of his thoughts right here.
