'Bridgerton' Season 2 Pauses Production for 'Indefinite Period of Time'

Production on the second season of Bridgerton previously was shut down for a 24-hour period and now we have learned that the pause will continue for an “indefinite period of time.”

Netflix started shooting the second season of the wildly popular series earlier this year, but now it’s unknown when they’ll be able to resume work on the show.

The original production pause took place after a crew member tested positive for COVID-19. Production resumed on Friday (July 16), but then it was shut down on Saturday when another positive test was discovered, according to Deadline.

The outlet reports, “Netflix carries out proactive testing on its series and Bridgerton’s brush with Covid is a reminder that TV and film shoots need to remain vigilant, particularly as new variants find faster ways to spread through the population.”

COVID-19 is on the rise in England, but the country will be removing all legal restrictions on social contact on Monday.
