Rachel Weisz Praises Her 'The Favourite' Co-Star Olivia Colman: 'An Astounding Talent'
Rachel Weisz is all smiles as she hits the stage at the MoMA’s Contenders screening of her hit film The Favourite held at MoMA Titus One on Tuesday (January 8) in New York City.
The 48-year-old actress was joined at the event by writer-director Yorgos Lanthimos as they discussed the the film, which has just earned 12 nominations at the 2019 British Academy Film Awards.
Rachel plays Lady Marlborough in the dark comedy, opposite Olivia Colman in the role of Queen Anne, and described her as “an astounding talent and one of the loveliest human beings.”
“She’s so down to earth and she’s so generous and so kind, she’s incredibly funny, she makes me laugh so hard that I will sometimes be crying with laughter in between takes,” Rachel continued. “Just collaborating with her and being able to be opposite her in a scene and tell a story with her it was a real honour and she’s very special and incredibly easy to be in love with as the Queen, it was a cinch being in love with her Queen Anne.”
