Natalie Dormer Debuts New Amazon Series 'Picnic at Hanging Rock' at Tribeca Film Fest 2018!

Natalie Dormer keeps it cute in pink while hitting the red carpet at the premiere of her new series Picnic at Hanging Rock held during the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival at the SVA Theater on Saturday (April 28) in New York City.

The six-part series – or six-hour movie as director Larysa Kondracki called it – revolves around the mysterious disappearance of three girls from Appleyard College during a day trip to the titular Hanging Rock in Victoria, Australia.

Natalie plays Hester Appleyard, the headmistress of the school, who has a mysterious past of her own she’s trying to keep hidden, according to Page Six.

“It is actually a little bit terrifying, as well as conversely reassuring in other ways, how all those themes from 1900 we’re still dealing with right now. To deal with equality and self-realization and identity,” Natalie expressed

Lupita Nyong’o speaks on stage during a Time’s Up panel held during the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival on Saturday (April 28) at Spring Studios in New York City.

There were many stars at the event, including fellow Oscar winners Julianne Moore, Mira Sorvino, and Marisa Tomei. Other powerful women in the industry who showed support included Sienna Miller, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Ashley Judd, Cynthia Erivo, Amber Tamblyn, Sasheer Zamata, Mariska Hargitay, and #MeToo founder Tarana Burke.

Before the event, Ashley tweeted, “On my way to share my national letter to survivors of sexual assault @TIMESUPNOW event at #tribecafilmfestival with a dialogue after reading it with the great and dear @TaranaBurke #wecanheal.”

The 52-year-old Oscar-winning actress looked pretty in a black dress as she and her husband hit the stage for a panel discussion about their new docu-series The Last Defense.

The upcoming seven episode docu-series exposes the flaws in the American justice system through the examination of two Death Row cases.

The show is the latest project Viola and Julius have produced under their JuVee Productions company.

The Last Defense will premiere on ABC on June 12.

Sienna Miller hits the stage to speak at a Time’s Up discussion held during the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival on Saturday morning (April 28) at Spring Studios in New York City.

The 36-year-old actress was joined at the discussion by fellow actresses Julianne Moore and to tell stories and seek next steps to establish the parameters for lasting change across industries and the pay spectrum.

The duo stepped out at the premiere of The American Meme on Friday evening (April 27) at Spring Studios in New York City.

They were also joined at the event by Paris‘ sister Nicky Hilton.

The upcoming film explores society’s complex relationship with social media and features Paris discussing her social media empire.

“I was never really showing the real me when I was on reality TV. I was playing a character, so I think anyone who doesn’t know me would assume, ‘Oh my God, that’s how she is.’ I really wanted to be completely honest in this film and tell the truth and clarify a lot of things that have been said about me and a lot of things that have happened in my life. I really just talk about everything,” Paris told THR.

During the discussion, Sarah revealed she knew about Cynthia‘s plans to run for a month for she made the announcement.

“She shared with me that she was going to announce about a month before. I was incredibly excited and proud of her. I think she’s already been good for the conversation. This is what’s exciting about primaries, right? People can inspire an incumbent to reconsider policy…or just have a robust conversation,” Sarah explained.

She added, “She’s formidable. She’s incredibly bright. She’s really brave. She’s excited about this race, and it’s challenging. But, she seems enormously energized and I think it’s good for us to have a competitor — it’s always good. A challenger is good.”
