Michael Clifford is apologizing for his past tweets.

A Twitter user recently took a deep dive into the 24-year-old 5 Seconds of Summer musician’s Twitter, finding tweets from 2012 where he allegedly used sexist, anti-gay, and offensive language.

On Saturday night (June 13), Michael issued an apologizing, saying that he is a “different person now.”

“hi. I am so f–king sorry for all the dumb s–t I did when I was younger,” Michael tweeted. “I am a different person now with a much better understanding of the world. Some people have access to a digital megaphone a bit earlier than they should, unfortunately, I was one of them.”

Michael sent a second tweet, writing, “I am so sorry for hurting anyone. It was never my intention. I was so naive and I am embarrassed and beyond sorry. I will continue to be better and I will continue to change. I never want to hurt anyone again.”

5 Seconds of Summer‘s new album CALM is out now – and the title could not be more fitting amid the stress of the ongoing health crisis.

The band – Michael Clifford, Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood, and Ashton Irwin – unveiled their fourth studio album on Friday (March 27).

The 12-track project includes their previously released songs “Wildflower,” “Easier,” “Teeth,” “No Shame,” and “Old Me.”

“The album title came from the first letters of all of our names,” Luke told the New York Post. “And it’s also a nod to our fans that coined us that name in our early days. They’ve been using that acronym for a long time. It kind of just sums up [that] we’re a little bit older and a little bit wiser . . . But it was named before this went down, obviously.”

“We were gonna go all over the world, do all these kinds of things, and then we just couldn’t,” he added. “But honestly, we wanted the album out really badly. We were waiting a long time for it to come out.”

Luke has also called the album “a journey through a young man’s life, for better or for worse.” Calum adds, “These new songs feel like something we could keep playing for the next 10 years, or even beyond that. It feels like our first album—like we finally found what we’d been trying to achieve since the beginning of this band.”

5 Seconds of Summer are hitting the road!

The “Youngblood” hit-makers announced on Friday (January 31) that they’ll be hitting the road on the No Shame 2020 Tour across venues in North America.

The 21-city tour will kick off on August 19 in Denver, Col. and make stops in cities including Chicago, Toronto and Nashville before wrapping on September 26 in Concord, Calif.

Tickets go on-sale to the general public on February 7 at 10 a.m. local time at LiveNation.com, and include a copy of their upcoming album.

Niall Horan and Charlie Puth light up the stage during KISS 108′s 2019 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball on Sunday night (December 15) in Boston, Mass.

Katy Perry is all about the bows during her performance at 101.3 KDWB’s 2019 Jingle Ball held at Xcel Energy Center on Monday night (December 9) in St. Paul and Minneapolis, Minn.

The -year-old singer wore a bow-tiful mini dress on stage for her performance after wearing a bright yellow dress with a giant bow on it earlier for the press line.

The full lineup of tour dates for the 2019 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour presented by Capital One have been announced!

Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, BTS, Jonas Brothers, Camila Cabello, Khalid, Sam Smith, Billie Eilish, Lizzo, 5 Seconds of Summer, Niall Horan, and more top artists will lead the tour this year.

An exclusive network television special, which will be filmed at Z100′s show in New York City, will be broadcast on The CW on December 19. You can also live stream it on iHeartRadio stations and on The CW app.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, October 11, but Capital One cardholders can get them first on Monday, October 7.
