The show will debut with eight one-hour episodes, and “offers a wry wink at modern dating with a star-studded roster of celebrity singles from television, music, comedy, reality TV and feature film in their pursuit to find love.”

Here’s more, via ABC: “Offering the same iconic feel as the original classic dating show, each episode follows two celebrities who each pick one lucky suitor from a hidden panel of three bachelors and/or bachelorettes based on answers to a variety of questions. But there’s a twist! The celebrity identities will remain a mystery to their suitors, who are given clues via hilarious parody song performances by host Michael Bolton.”

The original Dating Game ran on ABC from 1965 to 1973.

“We got a record number of submissions. We couldn’t fit everyone in night one, and we had some really interesting girls. These were women that we had already met with. It was decided pretty much before filming began [that they would join later]. It was good to throw them in the mix. It wasn’t just to shake things up,” he told Variety.

Brittany Galvin, Michelle Young, Catalina Morales, Kim Li and Ryan Claytor were the five ladies who arrived at Nemacolin Resort in Pennsylvania during Monday’s (January 25) episode. And by the end, Matt gave all of the new additions besides Kim a rose, sending two of the original contestants home.

Tiffany Haddish's 'Kids Say The Darndest Things' Picked Up By CBS After ABC Cancellation

Kids Say The Darndest Things was saved by CBS after being cancelled by ABC back in May.

The Tiffany Haddish-led revival of the original 1998 show aired from late 2019-early 2020, but was not picked up for a second season by ABC.

The show will continue on CBS for the network’s 2020/21 broadcast season. Tiffany is set to stay on as host, Deadline reports, and casting is currently underway.

“I see my role as giving kids a safe environment where they can say anything they want with complete freedom and no judgement. What I love about this show is that we let kids truly be themselves. I’m the straight man here, and that’s fine with me,” Tiffany said.

ABC Is Cancelling ‘Strahan, Sara and Keke’ (Report)

Strahan, Sara and Keke will soon be cancelled, according to a new report.

ABC is set to give the show the ax, according to Page Six on Thursday (July 2).

The show, which is hosted by Michael Strahan, Sara Haines and Keke Palmer, is reportedly being replaced with GMA 3: What You Need to Know.

The show was originally taken off the air back in March and replaced with Pandemic: What You Need to Know, a daily coronavirus report that was “initially supposed to be a two-week experiment,” but ended up doing “really well,” according to a source.

“We’re proud of our teams at SSK and GMA3 and how quickly they transitioned to producing a daily show to give people the news and information they need during an unprecedented pandemic, and conversations continue about how the show will evolve in the months ahead,” a spokesperson said.

ABC has yet to announce that the show is officially over, however.

“It’s unfortunate, but the hope is that they’ll be a big part of [GMA 3] down the road. Everyone was feeling good about their show. It was nominated for three Daytime Emmys. It finally found its rhythm. Ratings were stabilized and were starting to tick up when they went off-air,” an insider told Page Six.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show is also facing rumors that it may not return: here’s the latest update.
