ABC has announced its schedule for the 2020-2021 primetime season!
The network plans on airing new episodes of scripted series in the fall, even though productions still haven’t resumed filming amid the coronavirus pandemic. Some shows are beginning to go back to work, though most don’t have a date set yet.
“We wanted to honor the current environment and be thoughtful, which is why we waited until this moment when we have more confidence in our ability to return scripted programming in the fall,” ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke told Variety. “We hope it’s a fall schedule. We’re calling it our premiere schedule.”
The schedule includes the return of Dancing With the Stars and The Bachelorette, as well as drama series like The Good Doctor, Grey’s Anatomy, and Station 19. Three new series are part of the schedule: detective thriller Big Sky, comedy series Call Your Mother, and the revival of Supermarket Sweep with host Leslie Jones.
