“I just left the #Outfest screening of @freakshowmovie. I am so honored to be a part of a film that tells the triumphant story of a gender queer high school kid,” Laverne expressed in her Instagram post. “I wiped tears from my eyes deeply moved and laughed uproariously from the tour de force performance of #AlexLawther. What a brilliant young talent. Shout out to the @ianmichaelnelson95 who delivered a layered empathic performance and @abbienormal9 @annasophiarobb and our entire cast and crew especially our fearless leader, our director #TrudieStyler. I hope everyone will get to see this film when it comes to a theater near you. Stay tuned for that information.”
