Alison Pill Reveals Healthy 'Lentil Bowls with Quick Pickles' Recipe

Alison Pill loves to cook happy and healthy dishes for friends and family and now she’s taking to time to share one of her favorite recipes with you!

The 34-year-old Canadian actress, who currently stars in Hulu’s Devs, is revealing her favorite recipe for lentil bowls with quick pickles.

“My friend Rebecca introduced me to this combo,” Alison shared with Just Jared. “And the quick pickles really make the dish. We make this almost once a week, and it’s a hit with friends and family. It’s really easy, it takes a little under an hour and most of it is unattended. The majority of work is a bit of chopping. It’s also full of stuff that lasts in the pantry or fridge for a while, and it’s good for making ahead, so definitely a good one to have in your quarantine meal arsenal. And just generally. If you don’t have radishes, carrots work nicely. If you don’t have cauliflower, broccoli is great. Quinoa instead of rice? Cool. This is our favorite way to make it, but it invites personal flair.”

Alison also spoke of how healthy the dish is. “Lentils are full of iron!” she said. “And fiber. And protein. They’re magic. Cauliflower has sooo much vitamin C. And a helpful amount of K. What is K good for? Who knows. But it’s probably great. Sweet potatoes are great for vitamin A and C and also manganese.”
