Watch Aly Raisman's Powerful Testimony Against Larry Nassar

Aly Raisman gave a nearly 13-minute speech in court on Friday (January 19) in which she spoke out about the abuse she faced at the hands of doctor Larry Nassar.

The 23-year-old two-time Olympian, who was part of both 2012′s “Fierce Five” and 2016′s “Final Five,” detailed how Nassar gained and betrayed her trust, as well as how his mandatory “treatments” were unavoidable.

“I am also here to tell you to your face Larry that you have not taken gymnastics away from me. I love this sport and that love is stronger than the evil that resides in you, and those who enabled you to hurt many people,” Aly said during her speech. “You already know you’re going away to a place where you won’t be able to hurt anybody ever again. But I am here to tell you that I will not rest until every last trace of your influences on this sport has been destroyed like the cancer it is.”

Nassar was sentenced to 60 years in prison for his actions.

Aly Raisman Reveals Letter She Wasn't Allowed to Read at Gymnastics Doctor Larry Nassar's Trial

Aly Raisman didn’t get a chance to read her letter to disgraced Team USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar in court, but she is releasing it now.

Larry was accused of sexual assault by several gymnasts, including Aly, 23, and he has pleaded guilty to multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree, now reportedly facing 60 years in prison.

“Shame on you, Larry, you are the worst example of humanity,” Aly wrote in her statement, posted on The Players’ Tribune. “You promised me that you would heal my injuries. You gave me gifts to make me think you were a good person, to make me believe you were my friend. You were nice so that we would trust you, to make it easier for you to take advantage of so many people, including me. But you lied to me. You lied to all of us.”

“I became almost numb to my feelings,” she continued. “It was the only way I could survive the Olympic process. It was exhausting. The stress of constantly keeping certain thoughts in the back of my mind may have allowed me to focus on the moment, but it become more and more painful over time, both physically and emotionally.”

Aly Raisman Joins McKayla Maroney in Accusing Gymnastics Team Doctor Larry Nassar of Sexual Abuse

Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman is now joining fellow “Fierce Five” member McKayla Maroney in accusing former USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar of sexual abuse.

The 23-year-old three-time Olympic gold medalist made the revelation during an upcoming 60 Minutes interview that will air in full on Sunday (November 12).

“Why are we looking at why didn’t the girls speak up? Why not look at what about the culture? What did USA Gymnastics do, and Larry Nassar do, to manipulate these girls so much that they are so afraid to speak up?” she said during the interview.

Dr. Nassar is currently in jail after pleading guilty to child pornography charges – but not guilty to sexual assault. More than 130 women have filed civil lawsuits against the doctor claiming abuse.

“I am angry. I’m really upset because it’s been– I care a lot you know, when I see these young girls that come up to me, and they ask for pictures or autographs, whatever it is, I just– I can’t– every time I look at them, every time I see them smiling, I just think– I just want to create change so that they never, ever have to go through this.”

USA Gymnastics told 60 Minutes that they’ve since adopted new measures to make the sport safer in a statement: “USA Gymnastics is very sorry that any athlete has been harmed…we want to work with Aly and all interested athletes to keep athletes safe.”
