Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Reach Settlement with Paparazzi Agency That Invaded Archie's Privacy

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reached a settlement with the paparazzi agency that they sued for taking photos of their son Archie at a private home.

Over the summer, the couple’s attorney announced that they were filing a lawsuit to “protect their young son’s right to privacy in their home.”

Their attorney revealed on Friday (October 9) that a settlement was reached.

“Over the summer, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex took action against intrusive and illegal paparazzi photos taken of their family at a private residence,” the lawyer told NBC News. “Today, the agency responsible for those photos—X17—apologized and agreed to a permanent injunction and reimbursement of a portion of legal fees. This is a successful outcome. All families have a right, protected by law, to feel safe and secure at home.”

The photo agency, X17, released a statement saying, “We apologize to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their son for the distress we have caused. We were wrong to offer these photographs and commit to not doing so again.”

The last time we got a glimpse of Archie was in May 2020 in a video posted for his first birthday.

Prince Harry Makes Rare Comments About Son Archie During Video Chat: 'I'm Just Unbelievably Fortunate'

Prince Harry is opening up about his son, Archie, during a recent video call.

The 35-year-old Duke of Sussex spoke of the 15-month old who he shares with wife, Meghan Markle, while celebrating the Rugby Football League’s 125th birthday.

“What I need is a few mini rugby balls that I can then get Archie involved with the game, because at the moment it’s impossible to find any,” Harry, who is patron of the Rugby Football League, joked, sharing some excitement of being able to share his love for the sport.

He continued, “I’ve got a little space outside, which I’m fortunate enough to have so I need to get him playing some Rugby League. I’m just unbelievably fortunate and grateful to have outdoor space and see my son be able to be outside, because I know so many people just haven’t had that opportunity in the last five months.

Harry and Meghan just purchased a new home for their growing family in Santa Barbara, Calif.

“Our little man is our number one priority but our work after that is the second priority and we’re just trying to do everything we can to do our part to make the world a better place,” he added to the call.

Just recently, Harry made his Netflix debut in the Rising Phoenix documentary.

Prince Harry & Meghan Markle's Son Archie Will Automatically Become a Prince When Prince Charles Becomes King

Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, the 15-month-old son of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, will reportedly automatically become a prince when his grandfather, Prince Charles, becomes the King of England.

A royal expert spoke with Express about how Archie will be sixth in line to the throne when his grandfather becomes King, and while he’ll automatically become a prince, he can decide at age 18 whether or not he wants to use his His Royal Highness title. His cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, already have the HRH title.

This is significant because Prince Harry and Meghan chose to leave the royal life a few months ago and also chose to not give Archie a royal title at the time of his birth.

Expert Iain MacMarthanne also explained another rule that Archie may be subject to now that he will become sixth in line to the throne: a royal rule where he has to get permission to marry.

He explained, “Prior to the Succession of the Crown Act 2013 all descendants of George II, under the terms of the Royal Marriages Act 1772, unless the issue of a princess who had married into a foreign royal family, had to obtain the sovereign’s permission to marry in order to retain their rights in succession. The 2013 Act sought to bring multiple pieces of outdated and discriminatory legislation relating to the monarchy up to date.”

“Through this Act male primogeniture was abolished, allowing the first born child irrespective of gender to become heir apparent,” he continued. “The disqualification from inheriting the throne by marrying a Catholic was removed; and the Royal Marriages Act of 1772 was repealed, resulting in only the first six in line to the throne being required to obtain the sovereign’s permission.”

Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Fired Archie's Night Nurse During Her Second Shift - Find Out Why

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle fired their newborn son Archie‘s night nurse during her second shift on the job, the new book “Finding Freedom” claims.

Meghan and Harry felt they were forced to let the nurse go in the middle of her second night of work for being unprofessional and irresponsible,” authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand wrote in the book (via People).

They then apparently hired a second night nurse who “did a fine job,” but due to their experience with the first night nurse “neither found themselves comfortable sleeping through the night without going to check on Archie regularly.”

There have been so many bombshells revealed about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in this new book, including one big one about Duchess Kate Middleton‘s sister Pippa Middleton.
