Kaitlyn Dever and Awkwafina have been nominated at the 2020 BAFTAs!

The two actresses are among the nominees for the 2020 BAFTA Rising Star Award, Tom Hiddleton announced on Monday (January 6) in London.

The other nominees include Waves actor Kelvin Harrison Jr, Blue Story actor Micheal Ward, and Fight With my Family actor Jack Lowden.

The Rising Star Award is the only BAFTA award voted by the public. Last year’s winner was Letitia Wright following her breakout performance in Black Panther.

All the 2020 BAFTAs nominations will be announced on Tuesday, January 7.

The 2020 Rising Star winner will be announced during the BAFTA ceremony at London’s Royal Albert Hall on February 2.

Awkwafina won big at the 2020 Golden Globe Awards!

The 31-year-old actress took home Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her role in The Farewell during the ceremony on Sunday (January 5) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The award makes Awkwafina the first Asian-American actress to ever win the Golden Globe.

During her acceptance speech, Awkwafina thanked director Lulu Wang and dedicated the award to her family.

“I’d like to dedicate this to my dad, Wally, I told you I’d get a job, dad. And to my grandma, my best friend, the woman who raised me. And to my mother Tia, who I always hoped was watching from somewhere above,” Awkwafina said on stage.

Awkwafina is about to have a big night the 2020 Golden Globe Awards!

The 31-year-old actress hit the red carpet at the event on Sunday (January 5) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

She was also joined by her co-star Shuzhen Zhao and director Lulu Wang.

During the show, Awkwafina is up for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her role in The Farewell. The movie is also up for Best Foreign Language Film.

The Golden Globes will be hosted by actor and comedian Ricky Gervais this year, marking his fifth time as host. Make sure to tune in at 8pm ET/5pm PT on NBC.

Awkwafina is nominated for Best Actress – Musical or Comedy for her role in The Farewell. She was joined by The Farewell director Lulu Wang at the party.

Stars including Clemency’s Alfre Woodard, Jojo Rabbit’s Taika Waititi and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel cast members Michael Zegen, Marin Hinkle, Tony Shalhoub, Caroline Aaron and Kevin Pollak were also there to celebrate the awards ceremony.

Natasha Lyonne, Mia Goth, Shantel VanSanten, La La Anthony, Halston Sage, Caitlyn Jenner, Paris Hilton, Evan Ross, Billy Eichner, Savannah Guthrie and Minnie Driver all mingled at the event as well.

Cynthia Erivo, Charlie Hunnam, and Awkwafina walk the red carpet at W Magazine’s Best Performances Party during Golden Globes Weekend on Friday night (January 3) at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood, Calif.

The event was held to celebrate the magazine’s Best Performances issue, which will be on newsstands next month.

Cynthia and Awkwafina are both nominated for Golden Globes this weekend for their performances in Harriet and The Farewell, respectively. Charlie was joined at the party by his Jungleland director Max Winkler and his father Henry Winkler.

The ladies are both nominated for Golden Globes this weekend in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy category. Awkwafina is up for The Farewell while Ana is nominated for Knives Out.

Those two films were both recognized on the list of Top 10 Movies of the Year at the AFI Awards.
