According to Amanda, former First Lady Michelle Obama was a little upset with former President Barack Obama for breaking COVID, safety protocols.

“I remember Michelle Obama, like, being close,” Amanda recalled. “And she kind of kept yelling at Barack, like, ‘Stop hugging people. Stop getting close to people.’”

Amanda continued, “And then when I was done, she kind of like pushed him out the way and gave me the just the biggest, warmest Michelle Obama hug.”

Amanda also revealed that the Inauguration wasn’t the first time she met Michelle.

“I have met Michelle a few times before,” Amanda shared. “Not Barack. And whenever I meet Michelle I hope that she forgets meeting me, because I just want a do-over. I just want a clean slate. Like, I just want to do it right this time. But she always remembers and she’s always great.”

Barack Obama Addresses Violence at The Capitol, Says It's a 'Shame for Our Nation'

Former President Barack Obama is addressing the violence at The Capitol and is slamming President Donald Trump.

Obama shared a message on his Twitter regarding the Trump supporters that barged into The Capitol building on Wednesday (January 6) in Washington, DC.

“History will rightly remember today’s violence at the Capitol, incited by a sitting president who has continued to baselessly lie about the outcome of a lawful election, as a moment of great dishonor and shame for our nation. But we’d be kidding ourselves if we treated it as a total surprise,” Obama started.

“For two months now, a political party and its accompanying media ecosystem has too often been unwilling to tell their followers the truth – that this was not a particularly close election and that President-Elect Biden will be inaugurated on January 20,” Obama continued. “Their fantasy narrative has spiraled further and further from reality, and it builds upon years of sown resentments. Now we’re seeing their consequences, whipped up into a violent crescendo.”

Obama added: “Republican leaders have a choice made clear in the desecrated chambers of democracy. They can continue down this road and keep stoking the raging fires. Or they can choose reality and take the first steps toward extinguishing the flames. They can choose America.”

“I’ve been heartened to see many members of the President’s party speak up forcefully today. Their voices add to the examples of Republican state and local election officials in states like Georgia who’ve refused to be intimidated and have discharged their duties honorably,” Obama concluded. “We need more leaders like these – right now and in the days, weeks, and months ahead as President-Elect Biden works to restore a common purpose to our politics. It’s up to all of us as Americans, regardless of party, to support him in that goal.”

“It’s a blessing because all the teenage stuff is kind of gone now and they’re just back, and they love you again and they want to spend time with you,” Obama said. “And they’re funny. Like I think a lot of families, we went through that first month where we were playing games every night and doing a little arts and crafts projects and then slowly they started to get a little bored with us. Maybe teaching Malia and Sasha, and Malia‘s boyfriend, who was with us for a little while, Spades.”

Former Presidents Obama, Bush, & Clinton Volunteer to Take COVID-19 Vaccine on Camera

Former Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton are volunteering to get their COVID-19 vaccines on camera as soon as the US Food and Drug Administration authorizes one for public use.

The three former Presidents hope that by getting their vaccines on camera will promote confidence in its safety and effectiveness, and will encourage Americans to get the vaccine, CNN reports.

Bush‘s Chief of Staff Freddy Ford told CNN that the former president reached out to Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Deborah Birx several weeks ago to see how he could help promote the vaccine.

“A few weeks ago President Bush asked me to let Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx know that, when the time is right, he wants to do what he can to help encourage his fellow citizens to get vaccinated,” Ford shared. “First, the vaccines need to be deemed safe and administered to the priority populations. Then, President Bush will get in line for his, and will gladly do so on camera.”

Clinton‘s press secretary also shared that he too would be willing to take the vaccine in a public setting to promote its safety.

“President Clinton will definitely take a vaccine as soon as available to him, based on the priorities determined by public health officials. And he will do it in a public setting if it will help urge all Americans to do the same,” Angel Urena said.

In an interview with SiriusXM host Joe Madison scheduled to air on Thursday (December 3), Obama said that he will take the vaccine if Fauci says it is safe.

“People like Anthony Fauci, who I know, and I’ve worked with, I trust completely,” Obama said. “So, if Anthony Fauci tells me this vaccine is safe, and can vaccinate, you know, immunize you from getting Covid, absolutely, I’m going to take it.”

“I promise you that when it’s been made for people who are less at risk, I will be taking it,” he continued. “I may end up taking it on TV or having it filmed, just so that people know that I trust this science, and what I don’t trust is getting Covid.”

As of right now, no COVID vaccine has been approved, but drug companies Pfizer and Moderna both have highly effective vaccines in the works.

Meanwhile, Dr. Fauci recently revealed when he thinks life could go back to normal.
