Ringo Starr & Barry Gibb To Be Knighted By Queen Elizabeth

Ringo Starr and Barry Gibb are set to receive one of the highest honors from Queen Elizabeth!

The 77-year-old Beatle and 71-year-old Bee Gees member will receive knighthood as a part of the queen’s annual New Year’s Honours.

Ringo, who was knighted with the Beatles back in 1965, will be knighted as a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire for his contributions to music.

“It’s great! It’s an honour and a pleasure to be considered and acknowledged for my music and my charity work, both of which I love. Peace and love,” Ringo told BBC.

Meanwhile, Barry, who was knighted as a Commander of the Order of the British Empire with the Bee Gees in 2004, will receive the Knights Bachelor for his services to Music and charity.

Barry Gibb was honored during Stayin’ Alive: A Grammy Salute to the Music of the Bee Gees and he got up on stage to close out the show with a few performances!

The 70-year-old entertainer is the only surviving member of the Bee Gees and he gave the audience a night they will never forget while singing “Jive Talkin,” “You Should Be Dancing,” and “Stayin Alive.”

Gibb also gave an acceptance speech at the event in which he thanked John Travolta for making his career possible and sent love to his late brothers.

Bee Gees Grammy Tribute Special - Performers & Songs List!

Stayin’ Alive: A Grammy Salute to the Music of the Bee Gees is set to air tonight on CBS and we have the full performers and songs list right here!

Barry Gibb, one of the co-founders of the band, will close out the night with some special performances.

John Travolta will be making an appearance and you can expect him to reenact his Saturday Night Fever moves based on the photos released from the special, which was record in February.

There are going to be a bunch of amazing performances throughout the night from stars like Celine Dion, Demi Lovato, Katharine McPhee, Ed Sheeran, and so many more.
