Ben Stiller and his ex wife Christine Taylor happily posed for a photograph together while attending the 2019 Project ALS Gala held at Cipriani 42nd Street on Wednesday (October 23) in New York City.
The estranged couple were accompanied by their 17-year-old daughter Ella Olivia Stiller at the gala held in support of the not-for-profit ALS organization, whose focus is exclusively on research.
"[Ben and Christine] weren’t hanging out together, only because they knew a lot of people at the event and were chatting and catching up with them. Same with Ella — hugging lots of people," an eyewitness told Us Weekly. "At one point, Ben put his arm on Christine’s shoulder to get her attention. It seemed very natural and organic."

The 90-year-old actor appeared on stage to remind Ben that he is still alive after the Escape at Dannenmora director reflected on comedy icons Lucille Ball and George Burns.
Ben appeared next to statues of the late actors and when he walked up to what appeared to be a statue of Bob, the legend spoke up.
“Ben, Ben, Ben, Ben. I’m still alive,” he said in his famous deadpan style.
“This legend is gonna kick your ass,” he added. “That way you’ll know I’m alive.”
FYI: Ben is wearing Prada, and a Montblanc watch and cufflinks.
The series is nominated for seven awards tonight including Outstanding Limited Series.

Ben Stiller appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday night (August 6), and discussed his Showtime drama series Escape at Dannemora, which is nominated for 12 Emmy Awards.
The 53-year-old entertainer served as director and executive producer on the seven-part miniseries, which is based on a real prison escape that occurred in 2015 at the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, N.Y.
"It was a relief not to have to deal with me," Ben revealed about not having to act in the series, before clarifying that seeing himself on screen in the editing room is a difficult part of the job. "When you go to edit, and you have to look at yourself... it's painful."
"I was really excited to work with these actors," Ben continued. "I've known Patricia [Arquette] for a long time, we did a movie like twenty something years ago. Benecio [Del Toro], we used to go up for the same roles together. They're just such good actors and the story was so interesting."
Ben Stiller also talked about vacationing in Hawaii, preparing for a big tennis match, watching the Tour De France, the album his punk band put out when he was 15, and the viral Instagram video of a fan meeting him on the subway.
