Demi Lovato, H.E.R., & Brandi Carlile Perform an Elton John Tribute at iHeartRadio Music Awards 2021 (Video)

Elton John received the Icon Award at the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards and he was treated to a star-studded tribute performance at the show!

Demi Lovato, H.E.R., and Brandi Carlile hit the stage to perform Elton‘s songs at the event on Thursday night (May 27) at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

H.E.R. kicked off the performance by singing “Bennie and the Jets” at the piano. Brandi was up next with a cover of “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me.” Demi finished the medley with a performance of “I’m Still Standing.”

After the performance, Elton gave a speech to accept the special award.

H.E.R. & Brandi Carlile Walk Red Carpet Together Before Performing at iHeartRadio Music Awards 2021

Brandi Carlile and H.E.R. are all smiles while walking the red carpet together at the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Thursday night (May 27) at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

The two performers will be hitting the stage together during the show to perform a tribute to Elton John. The performance will also feature Demi Lovato!

H.E.R., who recently won an Oscar for writing a song for Judas and the Black Messiah, wore an Elton shirt to show off her appreciation for the legendary singer and songwriter.

Here’s a fun fact: the person who won the Oscar for Best Original Song just one year before H.E.R. was actually Elton. He picked up his second Oscar for writing a song for Rocketman.

Brandi was joined on the carpet by her wife Catherine Shepherd.

Grammys 2021 'In Memoriam' Performance Featured So Many Stars Honoring the Ones We Lost This Year

Bruno Mars, Anderson Paak, Lionel Richie, Brandi Carlile, Chris Martin and Brittany Howard are honoring musicians who passed away this year at the 2021 Grammys.

Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak, who performed earlier in the night as the duo Silk Sonic, honored Little Richard who died last May at age 87. The pair covered his hits “Long Tall Sally” and “Good Golly Miss Molly”.

Lionel Richie then gave a somber performance of his close friend Kenny Rogers‘ song “Lady”, which Lionel wrote, and “The Gambler”. The country music legend passed away in March at the age of 81.

Brandi Carlile followed with a rendition of John Prine‘s “I Remember Everything.” John died from complications related to COVID-19 in April at the age of 73. She ended her performance with, “We all thank you, John. For everything.”

Brittany Howard and Chris Martin finished the segment with a cover of the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” as pictures of Bunny Wailer, Hal Willner, and Jerry Jeff Walker played behind them.

The montage also included Eddie Van Halen, Pop Smoke, Sophie, Charley Pride, Ennio Morricone, among many others.

The two singers hit the red carpet ahead of music’s big night held at Los Angeles Convention Center on Sunday (March 14) in Los Angeles.

Brandi, 39, rocked a metallic silver and black suit while Brittany, 32, donned a black gown and sunglasses for the red carpet.

Ahead of their arrival, it was already announced that Brandi and Brittany have won awards!

Brandi won Best Country Song for “Crowded Table” while Brittany won Best Rock Song for “Stay High.”

Later tonight during the awards show, Brandi is set to hit the stage for a performance honoring John Prine, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient who died last year from COVID-19 complications.

Taylor Swift, BTS, Harry Styles & More to Perform at Grammys 2021 - Performers List Revealed!

The 2021 Grammys will be full of incredible live performers!

The Recording Academy announced a list of performers at the upcoming ceremony on Sunday (March 7).

Taylor Swift, BTS and Harry Styles are among the major entertainers set to hit the stage.

Bad Bunny, Black Pumas, Cardi B, Brandi Carlile, DaBaby, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, Mickey Guyton, Haim, Brittany Howard, Miranda Lambert, Lil Baby, Dua Lipa, Chris Martin, John Mayer, Megan Thee Stallion, Maren Morris, Post Malone and Roddy Ricch will also be performing.

Several of the performers are making their Grammys stage debut, including Harry, Megan and Bad Bunny.

“Artists will be coming together, while still safely apart, to play music for each other as a community and celebrate the music that unites us all,” the announcement reads, adding that the audience will be limited to performers, nominees and a small number of their guests. The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards will broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+ from 8:00 p.m. ET on Sunday (March 14).

Brandi Carlile and her wife Catherine Shepherd coupled up while hitting the carpet at the Grammys!

The 38-year-old musician stepped out at the event on Sunday afternoon (January 26) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

During the show, Brandi and Maren Morris are up for Best Country Duo/Group Performance. Brandi has already taken home Best Country Song for her track “Bring My Flowers Now.”

She is also set to perform alongside her collaborator Tanya Tucker.

The ceremony will be hosted by Alicia Keys for the second year in a row. Lizzo leads the pack this year with eight nominations, more than any other artist.
