Downton Abbey is teasing more of the highly anticipated film!

The Michael Engler-directed movie hits theaters on September 20, and released a new “Sneak Peek Featurette” on Tuesday (August 20).

Here’s a plot summary: this fall, the worldwide phenomenon Downton Abbey becomes a grand motion picture event, as the beloved Crawleys and their intrepid staff prepare for the most important moment of their lives. A royal visit from the King and Queen of England will unleash scandal, romance and intrigue that will leave the future of Downton hanging in the balance.

The movie was written by series creator Julian Fellowes and stars the original cast.

The final poster for the upcoming Downton Abbey movie has been released!

The cast of Downton Abbey gathers together to film for the upcoming season on Thursday (March 19) in Wiltshire, England.

Michelle Dockery, Hugh Bonneville, Rob James-Collier, Sophie McShera, Phyllis Logan, and Brendan Coyle were all seen on set in the picturesque village.

The show was picked up for a sixth season earlier this year, and will presumably air next year. The fifth season just ended a few weeks ago!

Joining the 31-year-old star of the show and 78-year-old veteran performer were cast mates Laura Carmichael, Joanne Froggatt, Brendan Coyle, and Phyllis Logan.

Michelle Dockery and Joanne Froggatt hit the red carpet at the 2012 Emmy Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday (September 23) in Los Angeles.

The ladies were both nominated for their performances in the hit drama series Downton Abbey.

The day before, Joanne and her co-stars Hugh Bonneville and Brendan Coyle attended the HBO Luxury Lounge featuring L’oreal Paris and Motorola.

FYI: Michelle is wearing a Louis Vuitton dress and shoes, Fred Leighton jewels, and a Jimmy Choo clutch.
