The 35-year-old country singer took to Instagram on Sunday (July 21) to share a couple photos while she and the 28-year-old police officer spend the day at Lake Tahoe with friends Gwen Sebastian and Melissa Hughes.

In one shot, Miranda sports a floral-print bikini top while a shirtless Brendan shows off his ripped abs.

Miranda Lambert‘s husband Brendan McLoughlin is taking a leave of absence from the New York Police Department.

The 28-year-old officer is currently not working with the force, according to People.

“Police Officer Brendan McLoughlin is on an authorized leave of absence,” a representative with the NYPD’s Office of the Deputy Commissioner Public Information explained.

They added, “The Department has rules and procedures governing leaves of absence by members of the service and complies with applicable law.”

Although there were no specifics about why Brendan is taking the leave, it can happen for many reasons that are often personal.

Miranda and Brendan got married in a secret ceremony back in January of 2019.
