Succession's Brian Cox Reveals He Had Coronavirus, But Didn't Even Know It

Brian Cox is opening up about how he contracted the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and he didn’t even know he had it until much later.

The 74-year-old Succession actor says he didn’t feel “anything” and didn’t know he had the virus until he tested positive for antibodies. So many people don’t experience symptoms of the virus, but still can spread it to others, so it’s important to wear masks and continue social distancing.

“I’m a diabetic, and I went from my usual bloods that I usually have between months,” Brian said on an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden. “I went there, and they took my bloods, and they took the COVID test. Then my doctor called me and said, ‘Oh, congratulations. You’ve had it.’”

Brian says he never had any symptoms of the virus, but he does remember being sick in December while in London.

“I remember I directed a play with my wife in London in December,” he said. “And I remember coming here, and for about four days, I had these sneezing attacks. Just sneezing.”

He added, “The doctor told me that three of our patients had also these sneezing attacks, and that is an unknown symptom of COVID.”

The Cast of 'Succession' Is Getting Big Pay Raises for Season 3

Succession will be returning for a third season on HBO and the cast is going to be making a lot more money for their work!

THR reports that the seven main stars of the series are getting pay raises for the third season.

Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, Alan Ruck, Matthew Macfayden, and Nicholas Braun will all be making around $300,000 to $350,000 per episode. Brian Cox, who won a Golden Globe earlier this year for his performance as patriarch Logan Roy, will be making more than the rest of the cast.

It is being reported that most of the cast was earning below $100,000 per episode for the first two seasons. It’s very common in Hollywood for the casts of successful series to renegotiate their pay after two seasons.
