Bruce Springsteen Given DUI After Doing One Tequila Shot with Fans (Report)

Fans were shocked to learn that legendary musician Bruce Springsteen was given a DUI back in November of 2020.

Now, alleged new details are being released regarding the reported details surrounding the incident. Bruce was riding his motorcycle in Sandy Hook, New Jersey when he saw fans and pulled over to take photos.

“Bruce stopped, took the pictures, then a fan offered him a shot of liquor, which he took, while sitting on his bike, which was stationary,” a source told Page Six. Allegedly, Bruce took the shot in full view of officers.

“Park Police saw what happened and they immediately pulled Springsteen over as he drove away,” the source added.

Another source told a Jersey newspaper that the singer’s blood alcohol level was .02 and the legal limit in New Jersey is .08.

He was cited for DWI, reckless driving and consuming alcohol in a closed area.

Jeep Pulls Bruce Springsteen's Super Bowl Commercial Following DWI News

One of the biggest commercials from Super Bowl weekend was Jeep, starring Bruce Springsteen.

However, the company has decided to press pause on the ad following the news of the 71-year-old’s DWI last November.

The arrest was only made public this week and Jeep has made the decision to pull the ad for the time being.

“It would be inappropriate for us to comment on the details of a matter we have only read about and we cannot substantiate,” Jeep shared in a statement to Variety. “But it’s also right that we pause our Big Game commercial until the actual facts can be established. Its message of community and unity is as relevant as ever. As is the message that drinking and driving can never be condoned.”

According to a previous report, Bruce was arrested on November 14, 2020 at the Gateway National Recreation Area in Sandy Hook, New Jersey and, was “cited for DWI, reckless driving and consuming alcohol in a closed area.”

He was reportedly cooperative throughout his arrest.
