Netflix has released the trailer for the highly anticipated new movie The Trial of the Chicago 7!

The movie based on a true story, directed and written by Aaron Sorkin, will be released on October 16.

Here’s the synopsis: “What was intended to be a peaceful protest at the 1968 Democratic National Convention turned into a violent clash with police and the National Guard. The organizers of the protest – including Abbie Hoffman (Sacha Baron Cohen), Jerry Rubin (Jeremy Strong), Tom Hayden (Eddie Redmayne) and Bobby Seale (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) – were charged with conspiracy to incite a riot and the trial that followed was one of the most notorious in history.”

The film also stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Keaton, Frank Langella, John Carroll Lynch, Mark Rylance, Alex Sharp, Noah Robbins, Danny Flaherty, Ben Shenkman, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Caitlin Fitzgerald, Alice Kremelberg, John Doman, J.C. MacKenzie, Damien Young, Wayne Duvall, and C.J. Wilson.

Tom Sturridge joins co-stars Ella Purnell and Caitlin FitzGerald at the Sweetbitter season two premiere on Wednesday night (June 12) at The Roxy Cinema in New York City.

The stars were also joined by co-star Katerina Tannenbaum as they promoted the second season of their Starz series.

Based on the national bestseller, Sweetbitter tells the story of Tess (Purnell), a 22-year-old who arrives in New York City ready to pursue a new life. Ella Purnell keeps it chic and sophisticated while hitting the red carpet at the world premiere screening of her new Starz series Sweetbitter held as part of the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival at SVA Theatre on Thursday (April 26) in New York City.

The 21-year-old actress was joined at the event by her co-stars Tom Sturridge, Evan Jonigkeit and his wife Zosia Mamet, Caitlin Fitzgerald, Katerina Tannenbaum, Eden Epstein, Jasmine Mathews, Paul Sparks, Jimmie Saito, Gabriel Gutierrez and Daniyar, as well as creator Stephanie Danler and director Stuart Zicherman.
