“I leapt for joy,” Camilla said to staff.

“I didn’t feel anything. I’m eternally grateful for everything,” adding that it “doesn’t hurt.”

“I was waiting for it to be done and they said, ‘It has been done.’ It was painless. It was brilliant. It’s very good when it’s over as you feel more secure. Panic over,” she continued.

“Ladies and Gentleman, the Secretary of State mentioned just now that the National Health Service was 72 years old, which happens to coincide exactly with the same age as I am. And the great thing is that the NHS has done a great deal better I can assure you than I have, as I am gradually falling apart,” Prince Charles said.

“I know, over the last year, it must be absolutely exhausting for so many of you. But I know the NHS is such an enormous team and there are masses of people who are unsung and unseen heroes and heroines.”

Their visit also marks the first in-person engagement for any member of the British royal family in 2021 amid the pandemic.

Two other royals received the vaccine recently.

Prince Charles & Duchess Camilla Receive COVID-19 Vaccine

Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla have been given the Coronavirus vaccine, Clarence House has confirmed to the BBC.

The 72-year-old royal and his wife, 73, are in the over 70 year old age bracket to qualify them to be vaccinated.

So far in the UK, 12.6 million people in the UK have actually received at least one of the two doses of the vaccine. Right now, the vaccines that are approved require two doses to become fully vaccinated against the original strain of COVID-19.

Prince Charles had Coronavirus back in March of 2020. It’s unclear exactly when he received the vaccine, but as of mid-December, the royal couple had still not received doses of the highly sought after shot.

Prince Charles Reveals If He Had The COVID-19 Vaccine Yet

Prince Charles and wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, arrive together for a visit at the Gloucestershire Vaccination Centre inside the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital on Thursday afternoon (December 17) in England.

The royal couple, both 72, met with NHS staff at the vaccination stations and were on hand to hear about the success of the program thus far. The vaccination center has vaccinated more than 1,124 frontline health and care workers as of today.

During their visit Prince Charles opened up about whether he had received the vaccine yet.

“I think I am way down the list and will have to wait,” he admitted to reporters, and added, “I think I’ll have to wait for the AstraZeneca one before it gets to my turn. I’m some way down the list.”

It’s also unclear if Camilla, or Queen Elizabeth have received the vaccine either.

Prince Charles tested positive for coronavirus in March, and was in isolation with Camilla at their residence in Scotland during the first lockdown period.

After the first lockdown ended, Camilla and Charles visited the same hospital in June, which was the first engagement outside by any Member of the Royal Family.
